Christmas is approaching! And this wonderful time is always full of pleasant meetings.

Natalia Rusetskaya writes poems, translates, and researches Belarusian literature of different periods. She has published poetry collections “Two Insomnias” (2004) and “Chestnuts in Pockets” (2015), as well as monographs “Family Muse. Poetry of Franciszek Urszula Radziwiłł” (2007) and “The RU Generation of Belarusian Drama: Context, Trends, Individuality” (co-authored with Sergei Kovalev and Iryna Lappo, 2020). She has translated works by Polish and Ukrainian poets into Belarusian: Wisława Szymborska, Konstancy Halczynski, and Yuri Izdryk. Her translations of plays by Františka Radziwiłł, Witald Gambrovich, and other authors were staged at the Kupala Theatre in Minsk until 2020. Until now, she continues to collaborate with the “Free Kupala Theatre”. She currently works at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie University of Lublin. She lectures on Belarusian culture to local Belarusians, organizes dictations for the Day of the Mother Language, as well as evenings in memory of executed poets. She is a member of the initiative group “Institute of the Belarusian Book”.
